Vespa stand

Just fitted a new PM exhaust to the P2, everything fits well. Went to take the scooter off it's stand and found the exhaust stops the sta d from going up. The bit where the spring attaches to the stand fouls on the exhaust. Any recommended ways of getting round this. I can cut the stand, but where do I attach the spring g after

Cut the bracket off the stand then reweld nearer to the left.There should be some slots in the floorboard crossmember next to the one used now but if not dremel a new one in.
