I'm running a P125 kitted with a pinasco 177 top end and a SIP Road2, no other mods. Would swapping from a 20/20 carb to 24/24 be a worth while mod to add a little bit more grunt? Also what would be recommend jet stack for this - stick with what comes as std with the 24/24 which is a 116 main or would this need increasing?
Swapping to the P2 carb is a good modification.
The standard jetting won't be far off.
I ran the same kit with P2 carb and covered thousands of trouble free miles.

Do you agree Dan?
Yes....but then I'm biased
It's out on the newsstand Thursday.
This months Vespa Tech report includes: 20mm standard carb vs 26mm fast flow carb. Standard 2011 onwards ignition with/without Readspeed Zeus unit, and SIP road 2 vs BGM exhaust.....all in one Vespa Tech report including before/after dyno results.

I've got a 24/24 on a two port Pinasco 177, done over 1000 miles, its got standard P200 jetting but is a bit rich, plenty of smoke on startup. Ive just drilled out holes to the heart shape in air filter and not ridden since so hopefully it'll weaken it be better now.
