Hi guys just about to build a touring motor but want to use a standard carb for reliability reasons, so 24/24 does anybody do a up graded one ie faster flowing fuel etc all done ready to bolt on.
I see loads of different spacers caps body's etc but it gets confusing so want to purchase one done.

Stick with the 24 as I've so no benefit from the 26 SI over it.
Pretty straight forward mods ;
Swap the float chamber to the bigger cosa type using the bigger 5.2 needle.
Then drill out the hole from chamber to the main jet to 1.7mm.
Use a fast flow tap
Don't bother with the float extensions.
Drill the air filter

That's from my personal experience on touring (not ride out) miles) over a lot of years on tuned P2s. I'm sure someone will be along with some other alternatives.

There you go - ready done at £ 107 which would save hassle, I just followed the SIP advise that they used to give and it worked, so if you don't have a carb ideal, if you have you can do the mod yourself.
I found the best place for the bigger float chamber top was MSP

Just noticed on the link that the carb body is drilled to 2.0mm on the P2 I don't think I drilled mine that big
