What is the reason for buying new t5 engine cases? Would it not be better to buy one of the new 200cc cases.
or is it due to people not having the full bike licence.
im not trying to say it a bad thing. Just wondering the reason why with regards performance and cylinder capacity.
Are the t5 cases better?

Nothing to do with it being better, just personal preference. If you look at things objectively then your better options as things stand are probably the smallblock PX etc. kits. But that's not to say there won't be further development. I personally preferred aT5 even in standard guise over a P2 which has been argued over since it was introduced and no doubt will continue for many a year. From what I've gathered the Pinasco cases all use a T5 type larger flywheel side bearing.

On having owned a T5 and a P200 both standard then tuned I much prefer the T5 especially with a Mallosi 172 kit

I'd have thought for relatively the same cost a large block kit (225, Pinnansco, Malossi, etc) would be a "better" option. No substitute for size as they say....

I had a p200e.
Ive had a t5 with malossi kit.
i prefered the p200.
never got the t5 running right and was always afraid of it seizing.
I agree with mick1.
but was wondering if i was wrong.
