I had a puncture on the pig at the weekend and noticed that fuel was pouring out of the sender at the top of the tank. Also when filled up to the top the petrol seemed to fill up where the plug goes into the sender. I don't think it's the rubber gasket on the sender unit, it seems to be leaking up where the electrical connections come through the plastic.

Any ideas to stop this?

Remove the fuel sender and thoroughly clean up around the wire and plug. Use hot glue gun to seal it around the wires and the plug. The problem should be solved.
