PX200 bogging off idle

I'm sure someone said this before on here but getting the SI pilot jet right is not so simple. The next jet weaker from 55/160 on a P200 is not 40/120 thats for sure.

Thanks for the info,gonna try a mates spare carb over the next cpl weeks to try.I can't see why it would need a smaller pilot than a stock 55/160? I though all PX200s had these?

The old non autolube P200E used to have a 48/140 idle jet. The 55/160 can be a bit rich for some, even standard no two engines are exactly the same. First jet I would try would be a 52/140. The mixture screw will need to be re-adjusted to get the slow running correct.

Update...
Bought a genuine new 24/24 carb and fitted a 120 main jet,not had the chance to ride it much but went for a run today and on the way home was bogging really bad again off idle,almost dying until I opened the throttle more,pull the choke out and it revved ok.Might need a carb clean out but strange it's happened on two carbs?
