Hello Northern Pete...follow this link here. Right at the bottom is a picture of where you drill. Whatever you do though wash the filter out with petrol to get rid of any swarf...and let dry.

Ive got the 65 Sprint and that was the first thing I did a few months before the Pinasco 24carb and SIP Road went on. It felt noticeablyu better...but I do seem to remember upping the main jet a couple because it nipped up the first ride when I was lazy and never tinkered.

Im pretty sure it wouldnt make a noticeable difference no. I only popped on a 24/24 when I bought the 177 Pinasco kit. Now that made a world of difference....and 4000miles later Im still loving it.
