Have you deffo got a Dellorto float needle in there?
Some Indian ones (Jetex for example) are longer and restrict fuel flow?

I put a fuel pump on my SS90 rep with a 32mm and all it did was cause me problems.
Agree about needing them with large carbs on Lardies with 210s etc,
But a ported 172 will be fine with a fast flow.

I reckon fuel pipes too long/kinked.

Did I read somewhere about using the T5 carb, as it had a bigger float bowl, and then some clever person started to produce a little extension to the standard P200 carb.

Perhaps I imagined it. Vespas really aren't my thing, man.

im about to fit one of these SI carb float bowl extensions to a malossi 166 ive just built, which is suffering from fuel starvation at higher revs, gonna do the carb mods re- drilling the passage from the float bowl to the jet stack , and cosa float bowl as well, I"ll put the results on if I remember.
