Can anyone give a personal recommendation on someone who is good at refurbishing Vespa speedos please?

I have successfully done my own Lambretta ones in the past and it's true that they appear very similar. It's getting the bevel off that puts me off having a go myself.

It's an original Rally 200 speedo. Speedo has not worked since I owned it but odometer did. The cogs on that now seem to be fusing together and turning at once.

Hi

I'm lead to believe there was a place in London that did it, but sadly long gone now.

The other one is speedoking.com.

Only trouble is its in the states, I believe he is very good though!

Good luck with it

Best regards Paddy

Paddy, yes, I know about the bloke in the States. I'd have a go of butchering, sorry refurbishing, it myself before I sent it that far. "Google" indicates that Retrospective in London may do it so I have just sent them an email ( scooter dealer to reply to email Shock ;-) )

Thanks :-)

Retrospective don't. They have recommended the lad in the States, Speedo King.

Surely there is someone in the UK?

Maskes Vespa offer the service on their web shop... http://www.maskesvespaparts.com/Webwink ... meter.html ... they're based in Holland (I know your looking for 'UK') but still a lot closer than California... and cheaper aswel!

Never used them myself - but maybe worth a try...;)

my friend john can get the vespa needles off but I have never managed it with out damage, I even tried a cheap chinese instrument needle puller which just broke up, they are very stiff, you might have to heat it it with a soldering iron and then pull lever it,
I will ask him, you tube needle /clock hand removal and vespa speedos some one will have it, Steve Burdette is good but the post to usa makes it costly
