currently restoring a Spanish gt 160 electronic, as I already own a imola powered lammy I not really worried about speed.
most people have said to stick a px lump in it but I would be interested to know what the experts on here think.
as far as I can tell the engine in the gt is a gs 160 engine with femsatronic ignition .
is it possible to fit the pinasco 2 port 177 kit with new pipe and can I change the carb as its a piston ported engine or would it be a case of up jetting the exsisting carb.
I know shes not going to be quick but what something that will potter along around 60 ish
cheers

Hi Have a couple of GT160/160 over here in my workshop in Alicante.
Ive brought and sold around 20 in my last 6 years over here.
When they run they are smooth sound lovely and do i guess around 60 mph.
The engines have no relation to the Italian GS160 just and overbored 150 motor.
Problems are mainly linked the famous FEMSA electronic system which is unreliable to say the least.
Crankshafts are unique so any kind of modern electronic conversion is impossible sadly
Used working Stators are hens teeth and the remade stuff is very expensive due to the small Spanish demand.
Link this to carb that wears very quickly and i would always advise a nice PX 125/150/175/200 conversion.
PX motors go straight in and remove all problems in one go.

The cylinder is piston ported: so no suitable cylinder kits.
