replaced a 125 top end with a 100 on a smallframe engine
the 125 had the head bolting onto the cylinder studs, the smaller top end has the cylinder bolted to the casing, then seperate studs for the head.

now when i come to fit the [standard primavera type] silencer it is not lining up with the header flange at all... Is this due to the barrel swap ? Are there differences in header pipes between the two types of top end fixings...?

Apart from buying another whole exhaust system, the simplest way seems to be to move the front mounting of the silencer...
or is there a neater solution ?

yeah the 125 pipe wont fit, only 50/90/100 pipes will fit without a fettle, sometimes in the case of aftermarket s**t the silencer is the same but the header is different and even then its pot luck if it fits as the wrong header is sent out
solutions are, bolt it to the barrel and make a bracket to suit where it mounts on the swingarm, get the right manifold, or do the right thing and put the proper barrel back on.(or an even better one)
the 100 might struggle to pull the 24/61 primarys of the 125 tho, downhill will be ok but you will have an all round lack of performance

that's ok, it's a mate's son's first scooter, so a lack or performance is not a worry.
and it's what was available to use
thanks for reply, will try some other pipes
