heat up, and bend that part of the frame away from the manifold for clearance. or cut it away (i know you dont want to) but keep the bits to weld back on if needs be in the future. you wanna be riding it, not worrying about 10mm of steel that wont even be seen. cool scooter by the way.

Everything is in and sitting ok now, will use a longer shock distance bolt and stiffer settings on the rear shock. Ordered hinges which I hope will allow the sidepanels to work as I intend them to. Also waiting on the rear seat bracket, no one has come up with an original so will make one up.

I have changed my mind again, this doesn't look much, but I should have the rest of the parts back shortly.

The following pictures show the frame blasted to bare metal and finished with a clear lacquer powder coat. It was not quite the finish I was looking for but it's growing on me. I am hoping this has not been done before. I still have issues with the hinges on the sidepanels and other parts of the frame. I have changed from matt white to the clear lacquer & matt black. I may add some pinstriping or a little colour here and there if it looks a little bland. The history of the scooter is still in tact, I have left all the dents and creases which add a little to the frame when the sun hits it. Will upload plenty more pictures over the next few days.
