I have taken on a restoration project, after a mate of mine decided to sell a few of his abandoned projects. The plan was to sell on the 152L2, but after spending a few days sanding it and filling it, ready to ebay (it was shot blasted and then left to rust),I have to say, it has got under my skin! I havent owned a vespa since 1984, as i have been into lambrettas eversince i turned 17. So i may need some help.....

I need all the standard parts for a resto, really, but i wondered if the basic body shell is the same as other models? Maybe VBB or VBA? I will need floor runners, legshield beeding, horn, side panel rubbers, legsheild badges, front muifguard, speedo, loom & cables. I plan on doing a 10" wheel conversion, and a P200 engine / T5, but the bodywork is the main focus at the mo. Are the reproduction parts as shoddy as the indian lambretta parts? Will i need to dry build everything before i paint it?

Any links to reputable websites for the parts would be great. 152L2 parts dont seem too common, so advice on models that share the same bits would be much appreciated.
I don't want to keep up with modern traffic. I want to hoon past it, preferably on one wheel!

parts are similar to the vbb/vba
for the 10" conversion you need an early 125 pk fork except if you want original look

Yeh, P2 engine, PK forks (try german ebay `pk gabel` lot cheaper than UK). I`ve a 20mm complete hub if you need it,FOC. 152L2 headset is a real oddball(split top and bottom PX-style) Get whatever Vespa headset you can get cheap. All the sundries are a killer.
