oil on rear hub

I've got a vespa px 125 put a brand new rear oil seal in ride to work about 15 miles when I got there put rear brake on and keeps going dosnt slow down the rear shoes are covered on oil...the seal is seated properly and correct one fitted any ideas ?

You defo have the correct seal for the hub? As there's 2 sizes 27mm and 30mm (i think)?
Old style engine or new? As new have the seal internally fitted behind bearing opposite to older engines where they sit externally .

too much oil in g/box, scoot' lent over for a time, seal in wrong way round, breather blocked.........

its a px 150 casing with the seal on the side were the wheel goes not inside the engine I've used same type of seal for years

theres 2 sizes Jimbob, i.e. 2 differing I.D.s, to accomodate the differing hub centre sizes. Hopefully thats all it is.
