malossi exhaust

i have a p200e 1977 fitted with a malossi 210 kit a mecuer race crank si 24/24 carb with a 130 main jet the casings are not matched and the fuel inlet is standard I used to run with a simonini exhaust and it pulled through every gear so plenty of torque last week i fitted a new malossi exhaust it revs out better than the simonini but its lost torque it gets to 60 in 3rd nicely but in 4th it goes flat as in an overdrive and no pull any ideas ??
