I visited Harry Barlow's stall at the VMSC event today and snapped this photo of two moulds taken from an RB22 barrel.

I put this up for discussion.

It would take me about 2 years to save up that much ear wax.

Yes, another anomoly with the old RB22, it can be ported to ease the issue, but thats not the point is it. Its just another problem that needs sorting.

Correct me if I am wrong (I barelyvisited scooterotica in January as I was out of the country), but no one has posted a photo of the silicon moulds of the RB transfer ports before on this forum. Correct?

So this is the first time that many people on this fourm will have been able to visually inspect such ports. There are perhaps people who have never held an RB barrel, let alone played with one, who will be interested

Perhaps it has come as some surprise to some at how compromised the secondary transfer port on "side 1" is, even if they read the original thread.

I think this photo illustrates the problem far better than the linked-thread that you have provided Smiffy, despite the excellent reports from you and Dan. It is a pity these moulds weren't available when the original thread was posted. It would have helped, I'm sure.

If only Innocent hadn't put that stud in that location!!

Totally agree m8 the pics are good and to be honest I didnt realise myself how bad the port is
the old ear wax as Ian called it, certainly helps show the flow angles and exit angles into bore

As for stud locations It does make you wonder why they were done this way :?

Any pics like these are always good m8 keep them coming :D
