Hi ive just got a steel liner put in a rb barrel.

Just got it back and put the piston in and noticed that the boost ports are now higher than the transfers by about 3mm.

What effect will this have?

The reason i put a liner in was because the barrel was f@@ked and i wanted to lower the timings to get a bit more torque. Ive got the exhaust port down to 179deg and the transfers down to 126deg, but the boost port is now around 140 deg :(

What do you think run as is or send it back?

Thanks Russell

IMOP I would send it back, your boost ports have effectivelly become the main ones with quite a long opening period to boot. By your asking I think you realize that the timing is wrong .
Would it work yea probally :!: any good gut feeling says no :o
