yep........"any one know diablos phone number" is the next question.
you need 17 litres to not get really hacked off with a ts1, about 40 to the gallon is about normal. i would do 80 at a push on welded twin tanks.

naff all leaks out your wallet geez!.stick it on the dyno and then see what you get, might supprise you, speed you go at i think your doin well to get that lol.
how much!!!
Not getting much better MPG than that on my Rapido (250). 'Planned' as a touring set-up (well exhaust and gearing at least, if not the tune and the carb), the thirst is a fly in the ointment.
Think I'll swap the carb out and try a 28mm in place of the 34mm VHSB. I used to get decent MPG with a 28mm on my old iron 230, 1Litre every 10Km is just going to be a pain in the arse as well as well fecking expensive. I get tirsty too u know
Eg. Planned round trip to Gijon for the Euro would be £400 in juice alone + where can you stash enough 'decent' oil to make sure u don't run out of that? Feck me, you'd need one of those 'PAV' scooter trailers converted as a petrol bowser.....

I have been running a 24mm mikuni on my 225 rapido and on runs i would get 54mpg, now going RT255 and 28mm power jet keihin but with 18-46 and Li150 so high gearing should give me the same mpg,
cruising at 80mph should only be 4000rpm
Mazz (not sure if he is on here) was getting high 20's out of his rapido somebody tuned his barrel but all it did was create more blow back

Well that is broadly the combination in principle I managed better MPG than standard P2's with on a long international run:6LDA 28B wrote:I have been running a 24mm mikuni on my 225 rapido and on runs i would get 54mpg, now going RT255 and 28mm power jet keihin but with 18-46 and Li150 so high gearing should give me the same mpg,

Kwaki 230, 28mm Keihin, Clubman, Li150 18/47.
I did find it a bit over geared (flat in 4th), but it would purr along at 65/70MPH @ 1/4 throttle, up-hill and down dale, ...just a bit slow accelerating in 4th.
You would need to be making at least 18BHP @ 4000 to 'cruise at 80MPH' : perhaps a bit optomistic? I would say that on anyset-up like that the power jet is never going to come into play: better to blank-it and correct the main jet for less hassle
