JL3 RIVETS

Rivets on the end can are rattling again :roll: having lost the end of the can before and having to replace it,are there special rivets i can use that will stay secure :?:

of course, use V2A rivets

Use Stainless rivets - mine was always the same till i used them - still solid after a year.


**EDIT** just checked what V2A are - and they're stainless - doh :)
If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....

Just search for 4.8 x 12 mm stainless rivets on eBay - then take your pick , there's loads :D

Don't you need a hydraulic rivetting tool for stainless rivetts?

I've used 4x8mm s/steel Rivets. 8mm long rivets will work on upto 3mm thick materials, which I think covers the skin thickness of a JL end can. You could always blob a bit of weld on in a couple of places also.

no, just a bigger rivet gun, mine costs about 40€ or so, no problem with such a tool! ;)

I just used my bog standard el cheapo rivet gun, thought it was going to snap at one point and it does take a lot of effort.
