Finally found the Yamaha part no if anyone is interested

exactly the same rod as on my crank

6H4-11651-00

just got to find who sells them in the UK as opposed to the states

pjme are a good and helpfull dealer (well respected in yam circles) if you contact them and say what you need they will try to help you, even if it is boat stuff.

what is the width of that rod at the big end? I used to need to machine a little of some of the rods I used in the past.

Is there not a con rod of this size sold by Harry Barlow? I am sure he has them this exact size in stock.
