Have enough hex bar for 6 sets, demand has surprised me esp combined with the lcgb site
will be ordering more brass but it is 10 times the steel cost, mainly because I can go direct to the main steel stockists and minimum order 6 Bars (ie 18 metres at a time)
Brass is a different matter, not really stocked in 11mm hexbar by even the large stock holders, they are not interested in ordering any in unless the order is seriously big time, but think I have found a major player in brass via a client which will bring price right down
price will be probably be a £1 more than the steel ones
an example for you a bar of 35mm round rod in brass is £157 plus Vat to account customers

This might sound stupid, but is 7/16's brass hex rod any cheaper because it's not "metric"? Still the same size wrench/spanner, what ever you want to call it. 'Nuther question-is it necessary to cut the stock back to round where it meets the manifold? Looks nice and everything but couldn't you save some machining time by leaving it hex shape throughout it's length? I don't think the washers used will mind
Where do we send money too?

I do use 7/16's manufacturing tolerances of the hexbar normally measns they are a thou or so over 11mm,
measure most spanners and they are close to 11mm but always over by about 4 thou
11mm hex bar is virtually non existent even in steel
didnt use to do the final turned sections but some of the welded flanges intruded too far towards the holes, and the hex wouldnt tighten down fully esp when people didnt use spring washers
not taking any money until they are made
