Help rear wheel wobble

using the correct cone with the new hub

brand new cone came with hub, was doing the same with 2 different hubs with matching cones

How do you know it is wobbling?

Is the scooter weaving over the road when you ride it at a certain speed? Is the wheel running out of line when you jack-up the back wheel and spin it while the scooter is stationary.

Can't say I have noticed it when riding, but people following me have commented. When the wheel is jacked up you can see it clearly approx 1/2" movement maybr more, will swap layshaft and see what that does ( touches wood )

Check the condition of your engine mounts too.

Rim bent, bad tire? 1/2" wobble would be well noticeable in your trans., something would be drastically wrong and easily seeable. Spin it without the wheell/rim on perhaps.

New hubs and tyres, Is the rim sitting correctly on the hub? 1/2 inch wobble jacked up has to be something obvious, spin the hub, does the main bolt wobble? does the edge of the hub wobble etc.

If there's a half inch of wobble at the rear wheel/Hub, and no oil is apparent in or around the hub then I would think its going to be a Hub & cone issue or possibly a worn axle where the cone sits this preventing the hub fully tightening up onto the cone.

But then again Im probably wrong...

i have had this ith bent/warped rims ,swap with another pair

I doubt the layshaft will be bent but i,d change it anyway if i were you, better safe than sorry. I had a look at MB,s new layshaft at Brid and if its as good on the inside as it looks on the outside it,ll be very good, puts the SIL ones to shame.
