An 80's scooter boy from Liverpool, bought a scooter from Vietnam last year with an Electric start fitted and It really looked the part and started every time off the button. I think he payed £2600 for the scooter, If you need any more Info I will track him down and If I can get a photo of the scoot, I will post it on here.

j1ms, some pics from your mates scootrs lammy would be nice.... just been on scoot help,

looks great but is this the way scootrs have done it aswell,

just curious how they've managed it..

surely they can sell a kit to have this done either by yourself or a scooter specialist..

We could release a kit but it's fairly involved. If selling the flywheel with ring, expensive and quite heavy to ship, or we could do just the ring and you could have it pressed on there. Also we don't have new starters in this shape, only used ones. Then all the wiring. So, for those reasons we haven't sold it as a kit.

You see this on some local Vietnam scooters but fairly rough. The ring isn't made properly and will wear out and the flange work isn't too nice. We have molds to make these items.

I can understand your reticence Randall, plenty of people out there would delight in knocking an undeveloped kit

I should think it would be ok if sold only as components to facilitate 'home development' though,
