Hi
Before i take the grinder to it, is there any point to the deflector plate inside the scootopia head cowling.
it looks to me that it will deflect the air coming in away from the head and push it across the exhaust manifold instead.

The deflector plate does deflect air across the exhaust manifold/ exhaust side of the cylinder. Its the hottest part of the cylinder. Enough air goes over the head also. I'd leave it in as a preference.

Dave Webster removed the baffle on a racer & promptly seized up @ the next race. He soon put the plate back.

I've made my own before now & used SBHS's into them to hold them in place.
