Hi all
I currently run 2 scoots:
1. is a Li 150 with a casa 186, 22mm carb, scootopia clubman, readspeed 5 plate clutch, readspeed stator, bgm flywheel, 58/107 mec crank, li 150 box 16\47. all running through air box. Runs sweet sits at 55 tops out just over 60mph
2. is a servetta 125 with a scootopia 186 (i have altered port timings), 30mm phbh, ron moss ex box, readspeed 5 plate clutch, readspeed stator, bgm flywheel, 58/107 mec crank, li 125 box 17/47, running open mouthed no fillter. Runs very well sits at 60 & tops out at 70mph.
I have got a large block casing on the bench & a ts1 kit with ron moss head, also got a taffspeed style pipe & pacemaker ( later type ) gear box lying about.
So looking to build an engine that will sit at 60/65 and top out at 70/75 with good spread of power using a selection of parts from of the above and parts from above engines.
What would be your recommended set up, don't mind getting a longer stroke crank and longer rod if it would be needed,or would a 58mm be fine. plus will fit new bearings seals etc, what final drive gear ratio would you recomend????
Cheers Mike

If buying you can’t go far wrong using a decent 60x110 crank
Aim for starters of a Final drive around 4.6
Good Read here regards packets etc for setting up TS1
