Just replacing my rear hub oil seal. The new one seems to be really tight.I cant get it on without the lip peeling back or the spring popping out.

Warm it up and cut a strip of plastic bottle to place around the inner race while you fit it.

I was able to get the new type seal with the inner lip to fit by warming it up (used a hot air paint stripper on low setting and very carefully). I found the inner lip would flip out in one spot, so I took the thinnest feeler guage I had, and used it like a guide. As I pushed the greased seal on, I pulled the feeler guage out and it slipped past and onto the shaft properly.

Some bearings have very little or no chamfer on the edge which makes fitting the seal difficult.

I found plenty of grease and a small pick used carefully works. Some of the cheaper seals are not as flexible as Rolf.

Good luck

Careful using grease as some grease will degrade the rubber, best to use a dedicated seal grease.
