as per title, scootopia kickstart piston broke the first time it was used, sheared the teeth straight off, talked to a few people about it and they all said they are all breaking, ive opted to replace it with an mb one, has anyone had the same issue ?

I sell and fit them and have had no come backs so far , what have Scootopia said ?

I didn't buy it directly from them, the person I got it from has not replied yet, to be honest im not bothered about the cost, more the work of having to do it twice. suffice to say I wont buy another scootopia one, shame as there stuff is very good as a rule.

2 broke here, replaced with a casa piston
Heard through the grapevine it’s a common problem

had 3 break on me, top tooth diagonally (from centre to one side snapped clean off on all 3) these were on 2 different bikes, one of them had brand new bushes, kickstart shaft/piston assembly and ramp etc and it broke second or third kick

I had one about a year ago from Scootopia do exactly same 2 kicks & snapped kickstart piston !!
Phoned them up & they asked is it a tuned motor?
To which I said yes Ts230
& they says ahhh should be fine but must av a lotta compression ?
& I said well ye it’s a TS
OK We’ll send you a replacement, to which I asked is they a better/stronger quality one & thereply was they all the same? I said I’ll try another once more... Been fine since

Musta been a bad batch IMO
