hi, folks,
happy new year, im doing an upgrade to my 290 rotax and think a bigger carb may be the order of the day, firstl ive acquired a 38mm competition carb which I was thinking of using, needs a few bits and bobs replacing, but ive just realised it has not got a tickover screw, do you just use the air screw ? not sure really, then I have anther carb body that started life as a 36mm but someone has had it on a lathe and turned the inside to hake it bigger, has anyone done this before and had success, I am at the moment using the 34mm vhsb with the oval bore, obviously the round bore will flow more air, I realise that is more than one question, didn't seem to be able to find much info on internet either,
thanks in advance for any help given,
holty
