So on running this again.
The kill switch is not earthing correctly. So i think i can fettle that.
The light switch is a headache.
The rear light and pilot light are continuously on no matter what i do.
AF spliced some wires together when i took the light swith to them to explain it to me.
Ive given up on it. I was hoping to use the original switch but thinks its causing problems.
So i am going to buy a new one.
Any advice on who to buy from ?
Am thinking eithet Casa or Scootopia.
Are the buzzsolo ones any good?

If the light switch has a green wire then, it is either not original, or has been modified. Have you got a pic of the back of the switch showing the connections?
Regards the cut out, it may simply be the headset paint stopping the switch earthing.

Hi Firekdp
Its an Eibar s2.
So i think the switch is genuine.
Its a leonelli i think.
Any way this morning i was in determined mood. Removed the switch and totally dismantled it. It is a switch that can be used with a battery.
Figured out that blue and red are mainbeam dip.
Yellow side light.
The green light is the feed...
So i removed all unnescessary wires.
Connected green to brown on the Loom...which is confusing.....
Yellow to black on the loom
Grey from brake to brown on the loom.
I now have lights that work in position 2 on the switch.
Side light works.
Speedo bulb
Stop light.
Horn that works.
Brake light that works.
Position 0.
All lights off including sidelight and stop light.
Position 1
Side light works
Tail light works
Horn works.
:D
The kill switch is not making a good earth as you suggested.
I have also managed to snap off the green wire.
So i shall either try and solder it or buy a new one.

Yes
If i put it in position 2 with engine running
I have not main headlamp dip/main working..
But i have side light behind speedo and rear tail light.
In position 1 all bulbs run as they should. I also have brake light and horn in position 1 or 2.
So all seems good.
I have re soldered the earth wire onto the kill switch and attached another earth wire to the u clamp that holds it in position. It wasnt making a good earth. It is now and cuts the engine off with ease now.
Bizzare i couldnt get a good earth to stop the engine. Most times its a bad earth that stops them starting or running.

I think ive just realised why you have asked about the side light in position 1 and 2.
If im on main or dipped headlight..is the sidelight supposed to be off ??
If so its still wrong.

Yes mate, it's still wrong. I'd need to see the back of the leonelli switch to see why though.

Thank for taking the time to reply again
The one i have has white switches and a white round horn button. Thats why i was trying to use it.
I was googling light switches last night. If i did not know better i would say it was more like a mk3 ld switch.
I will have another look today try take photos.

Possibly as the ld switch does have a green wire, for the cut out, this would have an extra button on the side.wrecklessrobbie wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 9:36 am If i did not know better i would say it was more like a mk3 ld switch.
