Hi chaps..i have a rapido 225 with a tmx 35 carb on her.has a jl exhaust and varitronic..
Pilot 20
Main 270
Needle 56 on 2nd clip
No fillter
Takes ages to start then wont tickover..when i get to tickover nicely it will then stick open when i blip throttle.so if i then undo the idle screw it will be ok for a while then stop running.i have looked on here and most are running bigger main and needle..i hope someone may be able to give some advice..cheers

sounds like lack of fuel try a 22.5 pilot first and see if that sets up better if not a 25, main seems low more like 290 /300/310 and maybe a 57 needle on second clip but get it starting and ticking over first set airscrew 2turns out and go from there

that main seems really small.

My TS1225 with a TM35 was running a 290-310 main open mouth, depending on the weather (+400' ASL).

l personally tried a rapido 225 with a TMX 35 and never found a good set up , a 28 or 30 mm dellorto would be a much better choice .

Thanks mrnice..it was a scoot i inherited from a mate who died..i wanted to try and give this carb a go but i was thinking of trying a 30mm delly if cant sort..i would lime to stick to mikuni for now tho...cheers
