Having checked my plug after a run of about 15 miles it looked quite a bit lean. I have checked for air leaks and could find none. I have adjusted the mix screw slightly and have now cleaned and refitted the existing spark plug. How many miles will I need to do before a plug chop would give me a good indication of the current situation? I have done a chop after a couple of miles but the plug is still very clean and giving me no indication either way as yet.

What you need to do is put masking tape on the throttle side and Mark 1/4 1/2 3/4 and full throttle or wo wide open go for a run to warm the scoot up and try and find a stretch of road with a slight incline ride around at each setting and check the plug at each setting and this will show what throttle setting is lean it's a mess about but it's the only way unless you get it dynod witch I would recommend
