I followed this advice many years ago and it really did pep up my GP150 nicely, to the point that a pal converted his Italian GP200 to Honda 205 as he was frustrated by my 150 keeping up with him :)
Thanks Adam. Is that book online or do you know where i might be able yo buy it?

If you can find a proper Italian GP150 barrel, clean it up.. it'll be a shitload faster than all the indianreplicashit, that is popular these days.

I'm lucky enough to own the 150cc barrel that Mick Abbey did that scooterotica wanted Testing. I ran it with 28phbh and a JL3. I clocked 70mph gps and it sat at 57mph all day long.
So the answer to your question is yes it's worth doing, get in touch with Mick Abbey if you want somebody to talk to about it.
