Just put my newly rebuilt engine in a scooter and all looks and sound good.
It's an early jet200 engine with a new SIL200 top end with a AF clubman.
Carb is delorto 26mm jetted as follows without any filter
52 pilot
108 main
Av266
X7 3rd clip
Air screw 1.5 turns
I can't get it to idle, it just dies. Reading all the guidance I'm supposed to get the bottom part of the carb settings right before worrying about plug chops and the rest of the range.
So my questions are please, is the jetting somewhere near ballpark. And do I need to buy some smaller pilot jets to get the idle sorted.
Thanks in advance Steve

When setting the idle make sure the bike is warmed up first. Once warm hold the throttle open just off the slide adjuster, think fast idle 1700 rpm range. Adjust the air screw in or out until the motor speed increases and tops out. Then let off the throttle and fine tune the idle with the slide adjuster.

If the air adjuster does nothing then you have the wrong size pilot jet. Jets are cheap, buy a 50 and a 55 and you should be covered. Rest of the jets look basically correct.
