I like them, you get a reliable speedo, a rev counter & head temp all in the same place & it looks just like the original part. I don't use the trip meters so much, but it's all there if you need it.

I have 2 of them. Work great. Only thing is I wish it was a EGT and not a CHT (or at least have the option).

I gave up on the clock keeping time but that's minor.

Is this still the case on current versions?

Agree with most. The later version is more reliable and a far better screen.
If you get the fuel tap compatible too it gives low fuel warning when on reserve -which is handy.
I can't get the clock to stay on time either, but will be having a another go when I get time as my speed is rather low (compared with GPS) also so the tyre circumference hasn't been set correctly obviously!
Accurate, good looking, nice backlight/illumination, adaptable (needle can show revs or speed now) and useful to have the CHT/Rev counter.

I have 2, the one the series 2 is good to read in all light but like other posters the clock stops if you have not used the scooter for a while. I put this down to the series 2 being DC. The other on the series 3 the mileage, temp and time are not easily read in daylight. I put this down to the poor choice colour for the digits by SIP. The odd thing is this system is AC and the clock keeps good time, but you cannot always read it :(

Don't know. I have V1 and a V2. Both drift when not being run regularly. There is a guy on the LCUSA forum that made a capacitor/regulator assembly to help with this issue.

What's the reason that it doesn't keep time, have SIP ever given a reason?

My new one seems ok so far, hasn't lost time in around 2 months.
