Ive got a 225 RT with 60x110 rod.

If I set the cylinder head squish with just base gaskets the piston is 3 mm below the TX and EX ports at BDC.

Port timings IN 128 TX 132 EX 175. transfer ports seem very high?

Alternatively, If I set the piston level with the ports at BDC I need to use head gaskets and thinner base packers.

Port timings IN 145 TX129 EX 171

Neither seem ideal from what I understand about port timings for tractable power?

I have the ability to raise the exhaust and inlet timings.

Which will ultimately provide the best set up for touring and general use?
Planning to use a BGM pipe.
