Ok, I want a new seat but it has to meet 3 specific criteria.
1. Low profile, like the ancillotti "race" seats
2. Has to be a flip up.
3. Has to fit with my spare wheel rack.
So, Im looking at something like these

But the below picture shows you what I am up against on my scooter

Anyone else got a similar setup and pictures to give me an idea?

Hi Donnie,
I don't have an answer for you but as I'm in a similar position & also searching, but how about this from Scootering #370 page 54, it caught my eye:

(Dan, if reproducing this picture is a problem please let me know & I'll remove it, just leaving the Scootering edition & page reference).
I quite like this combo, but not sure where you get this carrier or seat from.

That's my S2, the seat is a fibreglass base I picked up off a private seller on ebay, specifically for the low profile frame hugging shape. It's a bolt down type.GeorgeS wrote:Hi Donnie,

The carrier came from resurrection scooters (or whatever they are called not), but I chopped it and angled it flatter. The rack came from Mike Phoenix years ago. I use this style of carrier on all my lambrettas and just bolt the rack on. You can get plenty on and strapping is no issue.
I'm working with mate at the minute on a low profile frame hugging seat base, full size bolt down snetterton back end.

This is a flip up seat and stops short of rear frame grip, I haven't tried one but they don't look overly comfortable with the slim styling. I've also got the same seat with the "Ancillotti" logo.
