Turn the petrol tap off just before you stop the engine. That will empty the float bowl a bit and stop it flooding when you come to start again.

I changed pilot jet to a 38 and then a 36. Runs much better and actually started after leaving for half an hour. See how it goes tonight. Fingers crossed !

Drove it for 30 mins.for the Malaysian equivalent of an mot and after stopping back to the old story of not starting and flooding . Frustrating to say the least.

If you are 100% satisfied with the operation of the float and choke assembly, then maybe it's time to be looking elsewhere. Perhaps and only perhaps, having eliminated your carb there is another underlying issue.
1) Ignition spark is weak and just not strong enough to ignite a chamber full of fuel and after too many kicks, it floods.
2) Worn piston rings.
Shorten the gap on your spark plug and always kick with thottle shut. Try that.

Thanks will give spark plug a go that a go. It's a new rebuild so rings should be ok

Check the tip of the float needle valve. If its a black tipped one change for a new red tipped one as they are resistant to ethanol in petrol.

Am running bellows straight up to a foam filter. Will take a look. What's the option though don't really want to run open
