I had my timing set for 17 BTDC but have just put on a less powerful top end, basically going back to a standard Sx200. I thought I would move the timing up to 20-21 thinking it would give me more top end but someone has said the 17 would give it a better top end. Any comments?

Its not a case of giving more power or speed at top-end,

17degs is safer to run at top-end due to today's fuel.
Old Lambretta's never die, they get tuned..................

I have two Casa 185's and a Casa 210.All three are timed with a firing point of 17 degrees BTDC.
