I am sorting out a club mates scooter for Ireland. The kickstart wasn't engaging so I adjusted on the 3 bolts all the way in 1 direction. This seemed to sort it out only for it to fail after it was put back together. We got it engaging but I'm not confident it'll always eventually sort itself out. It's a SX 200 case with a non GP chain case. The gear didn't look worn (2yr old Indian GP box)
Any suggestions fellow roticas?
Kickstart not (always) engaging.

That's a good idea, Eden but living a bit nearer Yorkshire I would use an old flat washer, eden wrote:put a 5 pence piece under the spring

the only problem area I've had over the years is the actual K/S piston- it really needs to be 100% otherwise "missing" can occur. Change the piston and spring.
Scootering since 1968.

I had issued similar to this a little while back. It turned out to be a worn drive sprocket that was slipping around the drive sleeve sliding dog. I tried two new kickstart pistons and springs before I found the problem. It's worth looking at that as a cause.
