Fitted rt 195 kit on series 2. The manifold makes the 25mm carb point to the left slightly as in pic. Manifold was from MB. Is there any other that could make the carb straighter Image

only done 150 mile on it so far, runs fantastic, the air hose rubber is tightened to an inch of its life because it kept slipping off at the elbow, gona give readspead a bell in morn, been told they do a manifold that could straighten the carb up a bit.

Hi Rainbowrunner, I dont see any harm with this setup. Indian Vijai Super Mark 2 came with a Mikini licensed VM22 carburetor (in the name of Micarb) which also is slightly offset to the left (very much like in your scooter).
The VM has a broader float bowl that fouls with the engine mount boss and hence it doesn't fit straight on a Li (Dellorto) or GP (Jetex) manifold. However the air hose was the same for Jetex and Micarb setups.
If the air flow is restrictive with the side panels closed, here is an easy fix for the spigot type carb mounting.
Hold the manifold by the spigot side on a lathe and lengthen the spigot as much as possible without cutting into the bend and sacrificing its strength. Once done, shop it off keeping only as much length needed for your carburetor spigot.
Hope this helps.

Here are some pictures of my scooter. Not sure if you need to be registered user to view the pictures.
