Have recently fitted Franspeed Tourer to my TS1, anyone got a similar set up? What jets are you using? Thanks.

Thanks, not far off what I have:

57 second clip
310 main jet

Doesn't feel far out, plug could be a bit darker and cht is a bit higher than it was when I had the JL3 on at around 135f zipping around town :D

I have a Taffy exhaust on my TS1 225 & my TMX 35mm is set up as follows:

53 needle, 2nd clip
340 Main
20 Pilot

Run with 4% oil/petrol mix

I've been getting about 8 mile a litre (believe the carb was fairly new when I bought the bike in 2009 - since then I've done in excess of 25,000 miles). I've just purchased a brand new TMX35 and fitted a Robbospeed Road exhaust (both last night) and getting it dyno'd again this Wednesday but the starting point is as above.

Lots of people are surprised that I run a 53 needle, but it that means it's safe, I'm more than happy with it (any problems I've suffered on this engine have not been due to carb issues - dodgy crank, ring peg, worn piston circlip, engine mount snapped).

Hi

After the dyno yesterday, on both exhausts, the jetting in my TMX35 TS1 set up has remained exactly the same as posted above.

19.9 BHP in 3rd gear for the Robbospeed Road with peak power between 6,500 & 7,000 revs
20.1 BHP in 3rd for the Taffy with peak power around 6,000 revs

The Robbospeed will give higher revs and a greater top speed on the road (although not the 88.4 MPH that was achieved on the dyno   )

Hopefully the miles per litre will be better with the new unworn carb?

I run an Avanti 225 with a TMX

Pilot 25 (seems big but works on the Dyno')
57 needle top clip
290 main
Franspeed Race
breathsweet filter
23 on dyno

I think most TS1's run a larger main, 300+ with some running 360+

Thanks guys, I have the following:

56 second clip from top
310 main

Ok when I open her up but a bit jittery at up to 1/4 throttle, thinking it may need air mixture tweaking.?

Going to dyno soon but would like it to be run in a bit more :D

Rb260, supertourer, tmx 35 22.5 pilot 57 needle 2nd clip down 330 main,

I have used 25 pilots and 350 main jets and down all successfully rich carbs are safer if u can run them.
