I think all new engines are from India, who else is producing them ?

I see Willenhall scooters are selling a complete engine for £1000......

Scooter Restorations were advertising some recently as 'slightly damaged' -usually involves chips to the rear brake rim or the fins underneath.

Rayspeed, Andy Francis ...... me, to name but a few.

Blah, blah ........ any genuine quote. 8-)

I do like / prefer to open them up, drain off the mud that passes for Indian oil, change the top end bearings and seals and fit a Yamaha 110 rod and big end bearing to the Sil crank.

While I'm doing all that I may as well change the casing to a Misano one, fit an Avanti kit, fit a 7 plate LTH clutch and put my name down for an all singing and dancing 5 speed gearbox.

All depends on how long your piece of string is.

At over £1800 just for the bare Misano casing, it would need to be a pretty long piece of string!
