Anyone else found the listings for chain pitch and sprockets in manuals wrong? I have 15/48 sprockets and the info is 81 pitch chain. This doesnt fit too short by quite a bit.An 82 pitch chain is way too long.Who'd have thought 1 link would make such a difference? Anyone have similar trouble? This isnt the first time its happened.

15/46 =80
15/47 = stretched 80
15/48 should be an 81

What make of chain? Could be you have one that is slightly out of spec? I've found these numbers have always worked out for my builds.

Where did you get it from?

There are, I believe, two types of Iwis chain and there are also fakes out there.

my monies on the sprocket(s). If they are poorly manufactured they will throw out the spacings by a big amount.

You need to measure the distance between the looped ends and get somebody else to measure a known good one.

82 link chain seems a lot of difference for 1 link extra

Personally, I would think that non-standard rear sprocket is the issue.
