Whilst in Brittanny recently, my ScootRS ignition switch key wouldn't switch off due to key locked in barrel (tumblers must have got fecked), so had to stall her to stop engine. Got home and ordered new one from well liked dealer on here. Swapped over, but the green wire from the new switch is earthed in all key positions, so if I connect it to headset junction box and link it to green from loom, the ignition is always earthed. Am I having a senior moment or is the switch dodgy. I'd have thought that the green from the switch would only be earthed in the off position??? I have Wassel conversion, and have all lights and horn when switch in second key position, so that's OK. It's just the ignition side??

Assuming the switch you have wired the mane as an Italian one.
Your brain hasn't gone yet.
The green wire should only be connected to earth at Parked and 0
Instead of stalling I flip the choke on if I'm desperate
