Thinking about using a cylinder head that sits into the cylinder like the BGM kit. Does anyone know how deep the recess on the BGM head is?
Also is the contour for the standard lambretta piston?
Thanks in advance
BGM cylinderhead

It states the drop as 5mm on the head

You can do it with most heads, how have you ended up with the piston so low in the barrel ?

Piston isn't quite that low Jason, but squish is coming up at 1.5 -1.6 with no head gasket. I was also thinking of maybe raising the cylinder another .5mm to give a bit more transfer & exhaust timing.
Just thinking about options rather than machine the cylinder, better cooling, better squish design, plug position etc. Down side would be multiple head gaskets needed, as far as I can see, if the drop into the cylinder is 5mm

BGM do a head for TS without the drop that you could use, not sure if they do blanks.
