Hi mates,

I am about to build a new engine. I bought new GP200 casings. I have RaceTour 225 top end on the shelf. Because of casette 47T clutch which I bought for this project I need to have 47T rear sprocket. I'll use Li150 italian gerabox (also I have spare TV175 gearbox if better). It should go with Devtour pipe and Dellorto 26/28/ or 30 carb (or maybe 24 mikuni which I also have spare).I'll also plan to use 61/107 crankshaft which will do 235cc.
It SHOULD BE allaround touring scooter for long runs to rallies etc. I am not sure what front sprocket should I use? 17T or 18T? Any advice highly recommended.

thanks,

Maciej

does that gearing calculator seem a little off to anyone else here?

all I know is that im running same size carb on same gearbox, ts1 detuned to 125/180

ive got 47 17 giving 4.7

which equals (5000 revs 80kmh) through to (7000 revs 112kph) these are GPS speeds vs rev counter and obviously will rev more but these are an indication of just sitting in 4th with some slower traffic then winding it up to pass at a decent rate and settle into touring speed without having to change down........

this feels for me to be right in the pocket for touring, but i do have an mb clubman which is making good power on my set up from 4500 revs

so really depends when that dev tour kicks in with your port timings, you might have to throw the 18 on.........

Thanks mates. That helps me a lot. I'll rather go for 17/47.
