Just picked up a Sip speedo and have a couple of questions, is it easier to run the standard speedo cable (and cheaper) or am I best to run with a sensor? What fuel tap do I need, is it a special from sip or does the CamLam one work?

Hi,
I run the normal cable ('cos it was there and worked already), and got my fuel tap from Beedspeed, I also got my speedo from them.
Al works fine.

Shaun.

Cheers Shaun I did wonder Beedspeed tap would work, pity they don't state the fact it would help. Cheers Andy

I use mine with the normal speedo cable and is more or less bang on. I also put on the temperature sensor as described in the latest edition of Jetset. Instead of going under the plug it goes on the top and is held in place by a rubber washer.

I prefer to run the sensor cable and magnet with speedo on dc from a battery. I find it incredibly accurate if set correctly. Use 2 or more magnets as i found 1 is not great also the distance from sensor to magnet being too close can seem to cause interference but once set up it is THE best lambretta speedo i have had.
