LTH disc brake - where do the washers & spacers fit??

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

Just received an LTH front disc brake with anti - dive .... in parts ... there are 2 x 1mm washers and 2 spacers, approx 8mm, anyone know where they go? The anti-dive / caliper parts are all fine and built up
Also, I take it there are no seals used as the bearings have internal seals? So do you still need to fit the hub side original outer spacer / top hat?
An exploded diagram would be a nice?

Hi Ian - when I fitted mine I had a similar query .

I've just dug out my notes and this is the order I have written down

From the left hand side
- Dome Nut
- washer
- fork link
- flat nut
- Top hat
- oil seal
- circlip
- bearing
- spacer
- bearing
- oil seal
- spacer
- shim washer
At the speedo drive housing
- circlip ( modified )
- bearing x2
- shim x2
- flat nut
- fork link
- washer
- dome nut

Hope this helps - if you are over this weekend I will copy all my notes and drawings for you ( or post if you PM your address) :D

Cheers Peachy, is this for the LTH item?
The hub side has no seperate seals, the bearings have the integral seals?
I also need the caliper and reservoir banjo bolt sizes, pitch / thread.

usual Lambretta fettling resumed

^ yes it's LTH from a couple of years ago - I assume they have changed it to integral seals now but the rest should be current .

Sorry can't remember the thread pitch as I changed it for a SIP Caliper

Nissin ones are 10mm x 1.25 pitch, though I think LTH use non-nissin from memory. Caution as banjos also come in 10 x 1.00.
Venhill ones come with cheese head and allen key fitting which I found useful on the master cylinder with limited access for a spanner. Sorry Ian I don't carry any Venhill spares but I've got the std bolt type in Black.
Caution also as the std banjo bolts can be too long with certain after market hoses with thinner "eyes".
