Sure thing, just dont keepit at high revs too long,i always do country lanes giving it some beans but working up n down gears all the time.Only ever nipped up once during 1st 20mls.Dont just sit at 30mph like so many tell you to do.
Ran mine in ( Rapido Classic 225 ) at and around 5000 rpm then built revs up to 6000 rpm after 500 miles it would hold 7000rpm without nipping up... GP 200 gears with 18 x 47 sprockets... Ive been quite impressed with the performance of this kit.. which is now running 19 x 46 sprocket's.. to date its never seized but I did find the rings wear out pretty quick only 3000 miles and I am already on my second set of rings...

I've been running in a Rapido for the past year!
Nipped up after 200 miles, as I pushed it too soon on a Mahle!
Swapped to an Asso, did 500 miles, rings worn out! Replaced rings and did another 500 miles before wearing out rings again!
Now swapped to MB RaceTour and everything seems OK! Fingers crossed!
I think you just need to be careful, how soon you push it!
I'm not going to do more than half throttle until at least 500 miles and full throttle in bursts, after 1000 miles!

Your right there... Ran on Synthetic Rock oil.. I think it was just a rough bore and it quickly wore down the Asso rings... There isnt a score or any marks on the piston but it has had a very hard life.... It was being run at near full throttle after only 500 miles... which isnt in the running in instructions that came with the kit...
I agree Soosh Ralph Saxelby has done mine and all clearances are spot on. Asso piston.soosh wrote:Depends who done the topend, got my clearence spot on.Running the Mhale piston but only on the top two rings.Open mouth carb and been fine since 2002 on original rings.
