I notice from Dan's etching above, that the distance from the base of the transfers/exhaust port is 59mm. Hooray. It needs to be 58mm to match the stroke, but it is often 55mm on the RB22, leading to some really wild transfer timings on the bigger engine.

It is certainly a tempting kit....... I have some welded-up cases, and a GP crank with a 116mm rod already fitted. Nice. Unfortunately, the rod is a standard TV item, so it is unlikely to withstand 22bhp.

Hello my first post here.

I wonder just if there are any port maps of the RB22 for comparison.

The kits looks the business, but I wonder where the two sub-exhaust ports have gone taken.

I don't drive lambretta sadly enough (not yet).

but I always look at the fine workmanship done by lambretta lads.

if someone would split their port map for the RB22 it would be of great interest.

cheers on the m8

Anyone know if a 58mm MEC race crank could be split and uprated to suit this new RB20 kit?
Cheers Nick
